In our exclusive interview series, we introduce you to the people shaping Rightlander’s vision and future. These innovators combine expertise, insight, and passion to make strategic decisions that push boundaries, maintain quality, and keep us ahead in a fast-moving industry.

This month, we spotlight the journey and insights of our Account Director, Rudy Domingo.

Introduction

What’s your name and role, and how long have you been with Rightlander.com?

Hi, I’m Rudy Domingo, Account Director at Rightlander, and I’ve been part of the Customer Success team since January 2024. My primary focus is leveraging insights from customer needs, technology, and internal teams to drive innovative solutions that advance affiliate marketing compliance monitoring and commercial growth.

Can you share a bit about your professional background before joining the company?

Prior to joining Rightlander, I served as Global Director of Operations at Mitigatr (formerly Wag.io). I bring a diverse and cross-functional professional background rooted in science and expanded across talent management, operations, and organisational development.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and began my career in biotechnology, working with pioneering companies such as Mercator Genetics in Silicon Valley, California. From there, I transitioned into talent acquisition, serving as Branch Manager and Internal ISO Auditor at Yoh Scientific.

This led to a global role at GlaxoSmithKline in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, where I served as Global HR Recruitment Project Leader, managing strategic Research and Development hiring initiatives across multiple regions. I also expanded my expertise in learning and development, working as a Product Trainer for some key banking vertical lines of business within the BPO sector.

Professional Journey

What have been some key milestones in your career?

My career milestones span both professional and personal experiences. As a chemist, I helped discover the gene responsible for Haemochromatosis, sharpening my analytical skills. In talent acquisition, I gained a global perspective on strategic recruitment and workforce planning. Volunteering with Kara, a children’s grief support organisation in Palo Alto, deepened my empathy and strengthened my ability to connect with people. Together, these experiences have built a strong foundation in training, project management, and people management.

Can you highlight a significant achievement or project at Rightlander.com that you’re proud of?

Currently, one of my proudest achievements is the successful integration of Mitigatr’s legacy customers and solutions. While it may sound straightforward, this effort required placing customers at the centre of every decision, combined with meticulous strategic planning, to ensure a seamless transition and a true win-win for all stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Role

What does a typical day look like for you in your role?

A typical day starts with a little motivation from my two poodles and Persian cat. They’re my morning alarm! After tending to them, I dive into the day by reviewing messages across multiple channels to stay aligned with global teams and partners.

My focus then shifts to ensuring the team has clear priorities, support, and what they need to hit their daily goals. I also proactively check in with customers and matrix partners to make sure they’re supported, issues are addressed quickly, and we’re delivering value at every touchpoint.

It’s a mix of operational rhythm and strategic responsiveness. Constantly keeping things running smoothly while always looking ahead.

Company Vision and Goals

What is your vision for the future of Rightlander.com?

My vision for Rightlander is to be the trusted global technology partner for entrepreneurs and brand owners, helping them grow their businesses by understanding, managing, and navigating risk, and ultimately de-risking every business decision they make.

What are the key initiatives or goals you’re currently focused on?

My key focus areas right now are threefold:

  • First, ensuring our customers receive the support they need, when and how they need it.

  • Second, helping them fully optimise the value they get from our existing solutions.

  • And third, making sure customer voices are heard and represented as we design and develop new, innovative technology solutions.

How do you see Rightlander.com evolving over the next few years?

In the coming years, I believe Rightlander will become not only smarter and more scalable through AI-powered enhancements, but also more expansive in reach, extending our proven compliance and commercial solutions into new industries globally. This evolution will allow us to empower even more entrepreneurs and brands to grow with confidence.

Personal Insights

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Do you have any hobbies or interests?

In my free time, I enjoy travelling and spending quality time with my pets. I also love playing badminton, exploring great food spots (I call it “food crawling”), and island hopping whenever I get the chance.

Can you share a fun fact or something unexpected about yourself?

A fun fact about me: I realised early in my career that I was way too talkative to stay quiet in a lab! That little insight led me out of the lab coat and into roles where communication is actually a strength, not a distraction. Turns out, talking to people opened more doors than pipettes ever did.

Advice and Inspiration

What motivates you to keep pushing forward in your career?

What motivates me to keep pushing forward is my connection with the people I serve and the teams I work with - their growth, success, and trust inspire me every day. Combined with a deep appreciation for all life has to offer, it fuels my drive to keep learning, contributing, and making a meaningful impact.

Who or what inspires you in your professional and personal life?

I’ve been fortunate to learn from many inspiring mentors (too many to name) who equipped me with the skills and wisdom to grow in my career and give back. Their guidance empowered me to advocate for educational equity, and I find deep fulfilment in creating training and opportunities for those who might not otherwise have access to higher education.
